Well, I decided I would talk about the D&D campaign because it's not
like I talk about anything else in this journal. And because I know that you people will whine a lot I am cutting it.Collapse )

I installed Gentoo for no reason because I think it's better than Fedora. So now I am copying files and mySQL databases. Fun fun fun. Yay for customization!

I was randomly wandering about the Internet and I found this gem of a comment on Slashdot. It's so true; I know while installing Gentoo I would have liked to have X.org useable, or even gentoo.org. But sadly they have forty billion links. :( Oh well.

Welcome to the show [19 Jan 2005|08:46pm]
[ mood | tired ]

Well school is just dandy. I have overloaded my schedule by taking 7.5 classes and I love most of them. Here is my schedule for those of you who care:

http://students.imsa.edu/~aeinome/schedule2.html

The only class I really "dislike" is Ad. Chem. because it is difficult but I looked at the course specifics and it looks like more math and less memorizing, except of course in formulas. YAY FORMULAS!!!! I have three math classes in a row because I love math. The dotted line around Assembly Programming means I'm not actually enrolled in the class, will not recieve a grade, and am in no way obligated to ever show up. In other words, I had a break in my schedule there and I figured I could sit in on the class every now and then. Also the counselors are mean and won't let me take that many classes, but I'm showing them and half-taking it anyway. OWNED

So now I'm having loads of fun. I played D&D the other day and hoo-boy was that fun. So um like yeah. Woop woop.

All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be [01 Jan 2005|03:08pm]
[ mood | giddy ]

Oh my God it's 2005.

I decided I should crawl out of my sekrit area of secrecy and talk about what I did for New Year's. On the 30th I got Half Life 2 and wow that game looks great. I didn't play it much because on the 31st we went downtown to Chicago to have a good time!

We stayed at the Swissôtel, which was really nice and fancy. There was phone in the bathroom! With a DSL line in it! I don't know what people do with that thing. So then we just looked at the new and fancy Millenium Park with the Metallic Orb thing and all the modern art that was there which I think is ugly. Except for the aforementioned Metallic Orb.

Then we went up Michigan Avenue up to the Water Tower and went into some stores but I was like "Whatever". Then night fell and we went to some German restaurant I can't remember the name of. It was good; I had Sauerbraten, which was too sauer for my tastes, and it came with Spaetzles which are one of the greatest things man has ever created. I <3 Spaetzles.

THEN we went to go see the musical Spamlot, based off of that movie that everyone has seen, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. My God, it was excellent. Before the show, we were walking to the theatre, and lo and behold Hank Azaria (who is in the play) was walking across the street! So we said "Hi" to Hank Azaria!! Then we saw the play, which was excellent. Eric Idle attended the performance, and so did newsperson Diane Sawyer! Everyone loved it and I recommend it to all who can get tickets for it.

So afterwards we went back to our hotel room and watched New York City celebrate the New Year, then did nothing for a while. Then we went and watched the fireworks over Navy Pier from the comforts of the hotel. That was nice. Then we watched Conan and slept. Nothing else of interest happened.

So I'd say I had an awesome New Year's. I think I'm a gonna play Half Life. Bye.

How many times must the cannonballs fly? [07 Dec 2004|10:44pm]
[ mood | cheerful ]

Okay, I'm over Halo 2.

I got an ear infection I think because I can barely hear out of my right ear. Teh suck. BUT today was super pimptastic awesome pwn hardcore. We watched the movie "Canadian Bacon" and as a Canadian I was swelling with pride. Also YAY ALAN ALDA!!!!!! and then I went to an a cappella concert which was awesome because there was Queen in there and how can you beat Queen. Oh, somehow we messed up and the movie was in French subtitles, and because it was about Canada only added to the hilarity. I learned such words as "Ouais" and "Connard". Those silly French. Oh, also yesterday due to flukes in just about everything I had 80 minutes of class, total. OWNED the end

I am now the proud owner of Firefox 1.0. You should get it, yo. Since mozilla.org's servers have liked crashed and stuff, I mirrored it because I am nice. :)

GET IT NOW!! FOR GREAT JUSTICE!!

Also Halo 2 came out but I'm not getting it so it's not important.

I read a chilling article in the Chicago Tribune today. Since I doubt you other people will be able to read it I mirrored it because I'm so nice like that. It's all political and about Bush's "mandate". Read it... if you dare!

[ mood | accomplished ]

Wow. My writing drive is on overdrive and the backburner is steaming and other analogies I made up. I have 8563 words done so far in 3 days, which is like 2 days ahead. About the election, I'm not happy that Kerry didn't win, but I'm not outraged or anything. Outrage = unhealthy. So whatever. We'll see how it goes.

Hokay, so. [01 Nov 2004|11:57pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

Well, I wrote some stuff today, somehow. 3,077 words! That's less than 300 tomorrow if I want to meet the bare minimum. As if I care. Yeah. If you care about reading it, it's at http://students.imsa.edu/~aeinome/novel.doc and of course I don't have to say it sucks. Self-degrading is fun! And now I'm going to bed.

For no apparent reason whatsoever I decided to do NaNoWriMo and I believe I will not succeed but I just wanted to fill up all the time I spend not doing anything. So like yeah.

Happy birthday selahstar! Also, we read part of Paradise Lost in English, which evidently is about the fall of Satan and then of Adam and Eve. All I have to say to that is, "bababadalgharaghtakamminarronnkonnbronntonnerronntuo-
